In case you have the right to create blogs in a scene, then you can do so in the following way.
1. On the main page of the scene, click on 'New tool' and choose 'Blog'.
2. In the pop-up window fill in the basic information of the scene, click on 'Next', or 'Done' if you do not want to set further preferences.
Blog title: | The title of the blog, which will appear in the list of blogs in the scene. Mandatory to fill. |
Bloggers: | The creators of posts, who have the right to post on the wall of the blog. |
Readers: | Can read and comment blogposts (if given the right). |
Custom settings | You can set who the Bloggers and the Readers are in a certain blog here. |
Blog description: | Short description of the blog. |
Tags of blog: | Tags, based on which the blog can be found with the search engine. |
Number of posts on main page: | The amount of posts visible on the main page of the blog. |
Enable attachments: | If set, attachments can be attached to posts and comments. |
Enable comments: | If set, readers can write comments to a blogpost. |
Content of post on main page: | If set, the whole content of posts is shown on the main page of the blog. |
Selection of Bloggers and Readers
In the New Blog wizard we have to select the roles of members of the scene in the new blog. This can be done by basic role types in the scene (for example, Professors will be bloggers, and Students can only read the posts and comment, or user by user (this way for example, some students can be given Blogger status).
If the Readers are only Students, then select the 'Students' option in the relevant menu, this way all students will be Readers.
Custom settings
If you would like to select the roles user by user, click on 'Custom settings'.
By putting the ticks in the appropriate columns, you can give rights to all users in the tool individually.
