1. On the second page of the wizard, type in the basic properties of the question. These are the same at every question type. 

   a.       Title: Not mandatory to fill, if empty, the first few words of the description will be pasted as title. 

   b.       Question: you can write and edit the question here. 

   c.       Instruction of correction: if the question is entered to a self assessment test and the student gives the wrong answer, this is shown to them. 

   d.      Tags: you can add tags to make searching eaiser.


2. Select the part in the text that will be needed to be complete, then choose the format: 

Text format: empty fields will be at the place where the answers have to be typed by students. 

Also can be set: 

  • Regular expression: the system views the answer key as a regular expression. You can find more about the rules of regular expressions here:

  • Case-sensitive typing: if set, the system will differentiate between capital and regular letters. 
  • Field width: the width of the fields in the interface. 

List format: the students can choose from options of a frop-down menu, where there is one correct answer. You can add items to the options list by clicking on the + button. 


3. Click on the 'Next' button and choose the arrangement of the question. 


4. Type in the scoring rules of the question in the field. If you do not provide scoring rules, it will be automatically 1. 


5. To save the question and close the wizard, click on "Save and close", if you want to add another question, click on "Save and new".
